Thursday, Oct. 14: Press Release - Sorrell opts out of TV debate with challengers
East Montpelier, Vermont - October 14, 2004 - Wednesday evening there was a scheduled debate between the Attorney General candidates on Burlington's local access channel 17. The previous two evenings had seen similar debates. Bill Sorrell took a beating, as he was confronted with his record.

On Wednesday Bill Sorrell could not be found. He had suddenly come down with a case of "prior engagement."

Bill Sorrell had told me of this particular debate shortly after the primaries. He had no "prior engagements" at that time.

Bill Sorrell has stated that he would be proud to run on his record. It seems he is really running FROM his record.
