Governor Launches his Campaign, Focus on Affordability

Governor Jim Douglas officially launched his re-election campaign Tuesday promising to build on a theme of making the state more affordable.

"We will remain determined to improve our health care system and lower health care costs," he said. "We will work aggressively to retain and recruit more and better paying jobs. We will fight to cap property taxes. And we will labor, everyday, to put the dream of homeownership and a college education within reach of every family."
